Broken Flowers
I have only seen the trailer for this film. I will write a review once I have had the chance to see it. What I have seen so far looks good. Jim Jarmusch and Bill Murray working together is bound to be good. Lost in Translation and the Life Aquatic are among my favorite movies. I am excited about the possibilities of this one. Bill Murray has the ability to convey the pathos of the everyman with a comedic edge. I am not sure if there is another actor working today who can pull that off. Sophia Coppola deserves some credit for creating a forum for Bill to shine. It is great that other artists are creating new works for him. So far they haven't been too much alike and each has it's own merits. If there is one thing to be wary of in this film is that it will be more of the same thing that Lost in Translation offered. That could be a good thing but cinematic history has taught us that it usually isn't.
