On Saturday, March 26, I was lucky enough to see Hubert Sumlin perform. He played at the BBQ restaurant and blues club in Uptown Minneapolis, Famous Dave's. He was supported by the Butanes. The show was entertaining. The best part was seeing Hubert Sumlin play Killing Floor. This is one of my favorite blues songs. Hubert is getting on in years and at times it showed. He played at least one song twice and forgot the words to many. I came to see him play his guitar and that he did just as well as he had done on the now famous recordings with Howling Wolf and Muddy Waters. It was an honor to see one of the legends play. It is too late to catch many of them. There are just a few left.
